Apart from its amazing beaches, it is worth visiting the Metochi of Agia Anastasia in Epanomi, one of the best preserved monastic Metochia of northern Greece. Built in 1530, when the abbot of Agia Anastasia was Theonas, later Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, it is located about 3 kilometers south of Epanomi on the provincial road Epanomi – Herakleia, in the area of Kritsiana. It is a set of buildings, protected by an external enclosure to protect it from pirates. Access is easy.
In addition, Epanomi has a winery with the famous wines of the Gerovassiliou estate, which is open to tourists and not only.
