Fourka is one of the oldest villages of Kassandra. Its beautiful coast, the so-called Skala Fourkas, is a magnet for thousands of tourists. Tourism is an occupation of many residents of Fourka during the summer months. Tourists from Central Europe have been visiting Skala Fourkas for many years, while in recent years many Eastern Europeans have been added.. Also in Skala Fourkas many people from Thessaloniki have holiday homes as the distance is short. The tourist facilities of the area include hotels, beach bar, club, water sports center etc. The rapid residential development in recent years has made Skala Fourkas a popular destination in Halkidiki. The Agia Marina Fair is the largest fair in the Kassandra peninsula and is organized every year by the Cultural Association of Fourkas on 16 July. The airport of Thessaloniki is 90km or 70 minutes by car.
